The VIA VB8002 Mini-ITX board is a well balanced, feature rich platform for system integrators of home media server devices, incorporating the latest VIA Nano processor, a HDTV encoder, rich 8-channel HD audio and an array of onboard multimedia I/O.

The VIA VB8002 is powered by a 1.6GHz VIA Nano processor and the VIA CX700M2 media system processor for advanced digital multimedia performance and support for a wide range of digital media technologies appropriate for a broad variety of consumer electronics devices including media server, media streaming and digital set top designs.

The integrated HDTV encoder is complete with an advanced ASIC which uses VIA's Advance ProScale? Technology to scale regular input resolutions up to standard HDTV resolution output. The VIA UniChrome Pro II integrated graphics processor (IGP) supports hardware MPEG-2 and WMV9 acceleration and includes the Chromotion? CE engine for crystal clear video playback.

I/O configurations include LVDS and DVI module connectors, S-Video, component, composite and RCA outputs for versatile digital options. Two S-ATA ports provide ample storage while onboard Gigabit Ethernet ensures fast data transfer speeds and smooth media streaming.

The VIA VB8002 supports Microsoft Windows XP, XPe, CE, and Linux operating systems.
